Klaxons: 'UK tour is our best yet'

Klaxons have declared their current UK tour their best yet.

The band played two nights at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire - a night show on May 18 followed by a special matinee for younger fans yesterday (May 19) - and they believe they are the greatest gigs they've done in the capital.

"We're having the time of our lives at the moment, it's all been amazing," bandmember Jamie Righton told NME.COM. "Our UK tour especially! It's the first time we've played in the UK and played really well. We've never played well in London until the Shepherd's Bush gigs. It all feels right."

Righton added the gigs had a special significance for Klaxons.

"The shows at Shepherd's Bush were very emotional. We played about a year ago to the day supporting The Rakes, so it's nice to go back to it and it's all kicking off," he explained. "I'd never seen so many Glo-sticks [at the matinee show] it was insane. It was amazing, it was full of kids all dressed-up."

The band are now set to head to Radio 1's Big Weekend. NME.COM is reporting live from the Preston bash so stay tuned for a full report.
